Sharing this incredible podcast episode from Building Psychological Strength with Dr. April Seifert of Peak Mind The Center For Psychological Strength. In it she discusses the need for self compassion and ways in which we can use it as a tool for handling challenges and difficult emotions. She takes you through a practice in there as well that I think many of us here may benefit from so I highly encourage the listen! Part of the conversation also addressed the need for community. Dr. April makes note that we can seek solace in the recognition that many others experience similar states and emotions and it's in that solidarity that we can also connect more deeply and move through what we're experiencing individually. And as we have an awesome live event coming up tomorrow (which I hope to see many of you on!), I thought this might pair well since many of our emotions and challenges are generated from interpersonal connections. If you're also interested in learning additional tools and techniques, and want to connect with others working on their own mental, emotional and spiritual health, strength and resilience, I invite you to join the Nervous System Regulation group here on Guidely (https://community.guidely.com/groups/TOMJASINSKI2) for more connection and resources on things just like what is discussed in this episode. Hope to see you in there. Please also feel free to connect and say hi! πππ https://peakmindpsychology.com/take-a-self-compassion-break/
