I ran a live version of this earlier today but decided immediately after that I wanted to do a special recording for you guys that you can use and come back to any time you need it. šā¤ļøš Just posted it in the Nervous System Regulation Group so hop in and check it out! Though you'll feel a shift when you do it, the benefits do also accumulate with consistent practice and get "wired in", as you create a new "default" state of being, shifting out of chronic fight/flight, fear, anger, despair, into love, connection, and gratitude. In this particular variation, we intentionally tap into any stored emotions we may holding inside; anything challenging that needs to move it's way through and out of our system. And we follow that up with bringing ourselves into a greater state of heart and brain coherence, allowing the body to soften, dilate the blood vessels, release oxytocin, and encourage a state of love, compassion, and empathy, that promotes connection and understanding as we move through our days. Using the breath to process emotions, to regulate the nervous system, to induce states of calm, to energize ourselves, improve focus, to alter brainwave activity and the body's chemistry and much more, is profound and transformative. And it's a beautiful tool that we ALL have access to. My intention is to start doing these weekly, and I invite you to tell me what days and times work best for this community so we can get more people on the live. The nervous system is connected to every other system in the body. Our digestive system, immune system, cardiovascular system, endocrine system, and... our respiratory system. And we can use that respiration to build a stronger and more flexible nervous system, which then improves the functions of all the other systems it connects to. Looking forward to seeing you in the group and doing this together! With that, wishing everyone, who is celebrating, a fun filled, connection filled, Memorial Day Weekend! š¾
