The vagus nerve and your soul purpose? πŸ€” Sharing this video from Prune Harris that I watched over the weekend because it really captured for me the beautiful connection between the nervous system (NS) and your spiritual growth. Thought this community would appreciate it! πŸ€“ It's something I intuitively have always felt. A body that is balanced and safe translates to flexibility and resilience. It translates to a health digestive system, a healthy respiratory and cardiovascular system, healthy endocrine system, more overall energy, health, fitness, and of course, less reactivity, a healthier stress response, and more JOY. It also allows for deeper work to be done and truly creates an internal landscape and environment for spiritual embodiment. It's for THIS very reason that I have made it a priority for MY-self, and the work I do with my clients: to regulate the nervous system (which involves a great deal of working with the vagus nerve - the largest nerve in the body in fact, largely responsible for activating the parasympathetic branch of the nervous system which helps you calm down and stay centered and grounded) as the first step 😊. Certainly it translates into an overall healthier body, lifestyle and way of being.... but it also truly opens us up to that spiritual dimension inside ourselves that is ever present, but sometimes difficult to perceive because of how triggered and overactive our NS can be leaving us struggling to truly "feel."
